Project Overview:
This was the old Summerville Anglers gas station and car wash. It was considered a remodel project by Berkeley County. JWC was tasked with the demo and haul-off of the old carwash as well as the drive-on concrete and paved surfaces that were in a state of disrepair. The original engineer’s plans called for reusing the existing water and sewer. Upon discussion with Berkeley County, a new water and sewer system had to be designed for JWC to install. Working close to the wetland drainage system required meticulous SWPPP controls as well as the installation of a retaining wall. Daily communication and flexibility to project schedule was needed to meet the needs of the GC so all of their subcontractors could continue to work on the building remodel and fuel systems installation. JWC completed the installation of all new curb, concrete and paving to meet the designed plans on time and with high quality for a beautiful finished product that has improved and enhanced the look of the entire intersection.
